Up All Night

It seems the energetic misfits from California have had some rehabilitation in the Dude Ranch and grown up.

Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker, have reunited Blink-182, after a few years hiatus.

Known for their energetic and rough punk rock songs with crude humour, Blink-182 developed a cult following in the mid 90s, curving the new style in Generation Y teen music. While their first album Cheshire Cat was released in 1994, Blink-182 didn’t receive much notice until their hit single “Dammit” was released in 1997 from their second studio album Dude Ranch. More songs and albums were released (Enema Of The State, Take Off Your Pants & Jacket) until 2003 when they released a darker tone self titled album. During this state, the trend was about being emo, and while it was praised by critics and the ’emo’ type fans, it blocked out their ‘Cheshire Cat‘ fan base. In 2005, DeLonge left the group to form Angels & Airwaves, while Hoppus and Barker kept the flavour going with their side band +44.  In 2009, they reformed again, but nothing new has been really seen or heard of until now.

Thier new single “Up All Night” has been released on YouTube. It is a vast improvement since their last outing, and going slightly back to their original roots. Check it out for yourself.

If you’re in the USA, Blink-182 are touring later this year. Check their site out now for more details.
