Now Australia’s very own Noni Hazlehurst has done it.
The ‘children’s book for adults’ – Go The F*ck To Sleep, written by American authoer Adam Mansbach was written after Mansbach wrote a hypothetical on Facebook about the struggles of getting his young daughter to sleep, stating that to ‘look out’ for the book about getting the fuck to sleep. What started as a joke, has become a worldwide phenomenon online, selling out on Amazon.com a month before release.
Due to its language content, Samuel L Jackson was approached to do an audio recording of the book, in which Jackson affirmly replied without hesitation. Result.
However, an Australian version was released on YouTube. Actress Noni Hazlehurst, mainly known for her years as a prominant host for the children’s show Play School, recorded her own version of the narration and posted it on YouTube. After receiving many hits, YouTube pulled the video under the grounds that the video content had “harmful nature”.
Naturally, a few hours later, other users uploaded copies of the video.
