After an explosive appearance at the hugely popular Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2010, The Dynamites feat Charles Walker are making their return to Australian shores. Direct from Nashville, USA, the 9 piece funk and soul band are riding on the back of their two albums, KABOOM! and their most recent Burn It Down.
Frontman Charles Walker has a distinct history with funk and soul – he opened the historic Apollo Theatre in New York, paving the way for James Brown, Wilson Pickett and Jackie Wilson to expose their music styles further to the world. Walker has also laid his production skills down for Chess and Decca Records – two highly acclaimed record companies supporting funk and soul. With highly energetic and funky beats, The Dynamites will have you channel your inner funk baby and mark up the dancefloor with your blue suede shoes.
We have a one double pass (two people) to give away to see The Dynamites at The Zoo in Brisbane, Thursday 24th November, 2011, thanks to our good friends The Dynamites and Heapsaflash. To enter, e-mail your name and contact phone number to wirelessfodder@gmail.com before 11:59pm AEDST Tuesday 22nd November 2011, and the answer to this question:
