Dragon – Chase The Sun

by Matt Fulton November 9, 2011
written by Matt Fulton November 9, 2011

For 40 years, Australian/New Zealand rock band Dragon have been a household name. From April Sun In Cuba, Rain, and Are You Old Enough, Dragon were beamed into every Australian household during the Countdown 70as and 80s era, headed by Marc Hunter.

Sadly, Hunter passed away from throat cancer in 1998, leaving behind a legacy similar to Michael Hutchence when he passed away in 1997, leaving INXS behind. However, in true spirit of the band, Marc’s brother Todd Hunter continues to carry the torch, and Show No Mercy singer Marc Williams stepping in to continue spreading the Dragon love.

To celebrate the 40 glorious years together, Dragon have released a brand new EP – Chase The Sun. Tapping into their classic rock and mixing it in with the new contemporary feel, Heart Of Gold will satisfy the veteran fans, as well as grab new ones who are discovering their music tastes. (only to discover their extensive catalogue haha). Dragon are currently mid tour around Australia.
