Perth alternative band churn out their animal.
It was the first track released from the 1999 album Of Sunday Shambles. Perth band Jebediah had already cemented themselves in the mid ’90s as one of the many big alternative rock bands to hit the circuit. With songs already hitting the mark such as 1997’s Leaving Home, Military Strongmen, and 1998’s Teflon and Harpoon, Jebediah were on top of the world.
So when Of Sunday Shambles was released in 1999, their first track to release was Animal.

A nifty little track, one where lead singer Bob Evans tends to join all his sentences with is long drawn wording, Animal was a wall-to-wall tune where there was zero gap of air and full of passion. Not once is there a breakdown and echoes early 90s alternate rock.
It was that good, it reached number 16 on the ARIA charts, and has the honour of Jebediah‘s highest selling and top rated single of their recording history.
As well as the honour of performing the track in the Recovery spin-off The 10:30 Slot.
