Sleater-Kinney, the rock band that’s well connected to the TV show comedy Portlandia are on tour around the USA at the moment. With guitarist-singer Carrie Brownstein being a strong part of the group, Brownstein is a main cast member alongside SNL alumni Fred Armisen.
Haven’t seen Portlandia? Well it’s about to start it’s 6th season early 2016.
And if you have no idea who Armisen is, he was this dude in the film Eurotrip.

What makes Armisen and Brownstein awesome (other than the TV show) is when they randomly pair up to perform the odd song on stage. According to fans in the crowd, Sleater-Kinney were doing a show on Sunday the 13th of December in New York, the band mentioned they have a special guest appearing, but didn’t allude to whom. Just as they were warming up the synths to do a cover of The B-52’s classic Rock Lobster, out came Armisen, channeling the leading man Fred Schneider, cowbell and all.
According to YouTube user Kimberly Logan, who filmed the below fan footage, it was “THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!”
Sleater-Kinney are wrapping up for the year, but they are heading down south to New Zealand and Australia from March 2016. Some places are sold out, but tickets are still available for various areas. Check out their official site for more.
Now for some fun: the original.
