I dunno about you guys, but for me, this is awesome!
Back in the day of my primary school years of the late 1980s / early 1990s, I was educated by one particular teacher who loved reading books by Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl. While we loved stories from The Magic Faraway Tree (Blyton) and  Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (Dahl), my favourite one was The BFG.
He always felt so out-of-place with being tall, big ears and quick speed, but you loved him nonetheless due to his mission on chasing down man-eating giants. Plus you cheered on for little orphan Sophie, who would be the closest thing to a friend that The BFG has.
Well, Disney decided to throw some money at movie director Steven Spielberg, who after already turned a school book favourite The Adventures of Tintin into a movie that earned some good coin a few years back, has decided to make The BFG come to life. We have the technology, so might as well!
The BFG will be out in cinemas July 1, 2016.
