First off – this is not a set ‘Top 10″. There was no survey. No voting. No chart. No hit rate.

This list of 10 is a simple break-down of inspiring mashups, made by the world wide people on the internets. They were mainly chosen because they are the nearly ‘perfect’ blend of songs. The topic is already out of date before this is even published as thousands of mashups are being created as you read this.

There are thousands – if not – millions, of mashups out there. If fact, what is a mashup?

While there is no official meaning, a mashup is a combination of Subject A and Subject B, blended and mixed together to create a new Subject C. Mashing can cover films, books, tv shows and other genres, but mainly popular with the music industry. It can be used as a creative concept and develop more ideas for musicians and artists. Sometimes a mashup song made by a DJ can be more popular than the original tune. As mashup songs are quite popular and get around virally online, it is sometimes hard to claim the original artist. So we’ll do our best to match the artist with the song as possible. Let’s go DJing.
