Formed in 1990, the offspring of Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes – consisting of Mahalia Barnes, Eliza-Jane ‘E.J.’ Barnes, Jackie Barnes and Elly-May Barnes – after having released a 1991 christmas album Hey Rudolph, followed up with a full studio album Snakes And Ladders in 1992, as well as featuring on the dinosaur / caveman themed album Dinosaur Dreaming in 1993.
With this album, came a single Walk The Dinosaur – a direct cover of the American band Was (Not Was) which was a huge hit.
The music clip featured all four children running around an animated Flintstones setting, with eldest Mahalia singing the main vocals.
While not a major hit, the album Snakes And Ladders earned an ARIA nomination for Best Childrens Album in 1993.
