The music industry is always a world of “sink or swim”. These days, you have to make sure you adapt to the accessibility of your music. From vinyl to 8-Track, to cassette to Compact Disc, to Mini-disc to ipod, to USB to itunes to Bit Torrent…
Or, you can make your accessibility trendy.
If you’re sick of lugging around your latest mp3 player in your pocket, why not grab the latest album of your favourite band on Playbutton?
“What the fuck is a Playbutton?” you may or may not ask. In this case, I’ll ask for you, as well as answering that very question.
The Playbutton is a badge filled with music. You know those “You’re 21!” “Happy Birthday!” “Hi, My Name Is…” buttons you wear with a pin that pierces your pectoral skin if not done right? Well, they have been given a new life, by turning into a portable player.
While the technology has been around since late last year, Iconic alternative Australian Brisbane band Regurgitator are releasing their new studio album SUPERHAPPYFUNTIMESFRIENDS on this format, as well as vinyl, cassette, CD, and itunes.
A wearable button that has the entire new Regurgitator album on it. A newly developed format to engage with music in an on-the-run world. You plug in headphones and the album starts to play. You can adjust various EQ presets and skip tracks etc. Comes with a USB cable to recharge.
Awesome.
