Soap star cleans up a legendary guitar tune.
At the height of his career, actor Daniel Amalm was flooring it as a big star in Channel 7’s Home And Away in the mid 1990s, playing the Jack Gibson. This role ended up winning him a Logie award for ‘Most Popular New Talent’ in 1995.
Already gifted in guitar playing at a young age, Amalm left the TV soap to concentrate on his music career, releasing a dance cover of the classic tune Classical Gas in 1996.
The track reached it’s peak hitting Number 31 in the ARIA charts, and Number 5 in the Dance charts. Amalm still acts and performs to this day, with guitar teaching guides on his YouTube channel.
