What can I say – I love It’s A Knockout!
But these days it does not get enough love and affection it desperately deserves.
The foreign TV game show concept has been running in various countries since the 1960s, with an Australian version host by Billy J Smith and Fiona MacDonald operated from 1985 to 1987 on the Ten Entertainment Network, under the production arm of Grundy Television Productions.
The original run of the show was axed after noise complaints of residents living around the stadium the set was built, bulldozed and turned into housing property.
After the failed reboot in 2011 – hosted by H.G. Nelson, Brad McEwan and Charli Robinson and filmed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the show disappeared.
It left the world with bootleg episodes on YouTube.
But how do we acknowledge the past?
A super-fan may have the answer.
A more detailed rundown is here.
