This is My Geek Profile: A My Geek Culture podcast where we chat to various personalities of the Australian Entertainment Industry who have entertained us over the years.
He’s either spoken in your ear, consumed food within your presence (or tasted it on your behalf), or shown you how you can get up to shenanigans overseas with your closest mates.
Alo Baker has been part of the Australian media landscape for nearly 20 years, first dabbling in the hospitality industry, then making the transition to playing your favourite music on the radio. The multiple Commercial Radio Award nominee and winner loves chowing down on various foods, showing you the best places to eat and getting quality for your buck.
When he’s not eating local, he’s floating around in the U.S. with his closest friends and travelling the states to get his hands dirty. Either road tripping, finding a Grizzly, getting up close with an alligator, or just getting to know the culture by – again – consuming the foodstuffs on offer.
After putting his recent travel successes of Aussie Dreamlivers: Alaska and Texas under his belt, he’s flying solo with The Food Dude – an attempt to travel around various parts of Australia and sample the delicacies this great wide brown land has to offer – all contributing to heartburn.
We caught up with Alo Baker to find out more about his history, as well as how much weight he has gained since filming.
The Food Dude, 3:30pm Fridays on 7Mate. Check your local guide for replays too on 7Flix.
