Many Australian comedy fans would be aware of Working Dog, or at least their former troupe name – The D-Generation. In the late 1980s, the team, consisting of Rob Sitch, Santo Cilauro, Jane Kennedy, Mick Molloy, Tony Martin, John Harrison, Michael Veitch, Magda Szubanski, Marg Downey and others, had a breakfast show on EON FM, now known as Melbourne’s Triple M. In 1989, their single “Five In A Row” was released, being the 2nd highest selling Australian single of the year. This song parodied well known Australian artists: John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Little River Band, Kylie Minogue and James Reyne.
