Comedian gives a whole new perspective on the life of the TV soap Sons And Daughters.
Twitter can be a blessing and a curse to use; It can be a delivery service of bad news, a way for fans to interact with their favourite personality, or a way of having a great laugh or oversharing your thoughts and feelings to the world – with no-one really giving a flying fuck on the receiving end.
It’s a cruel world.
On the other hand, it can be every entertaining.
Take our biased look at one of our favourite comedians at WF HQ – Tony Martin.

A lover of pop culture, a film nerd, 80s music geek, and a plethora of regular Joes following his every move.
A couple of years ago, he was challenged to watch a bunch of episodes from a really washed Australian soap opera from the 1980s – Sons and Daughters. When in it’s prime, it was a ratings success for Channel 7, with many well known actors getting their start on this show.
Each episode ran for about 25 minutes from 1982 to 1987, raking up a total of 972 episodes. It also won a few Logie awards along the way, and locking itself into the infinite loophole of re-runs at 4am and promoting bad fashion and haircuts to countries overseas. It also made household names for stars such as Rowena Wallace (Pat The Rat), Ally Fowler (Angela Hamilton), and Peter Phelps (John Palmer)… just to name a few.
I’m not going to explain the entire show, so I’ll let you abide time reading it all over on Wikipedia… believe me – it’s easier.
Unfortunately, the entire series is not available on DVD, only a couple of ‘Best Ofs’ packs released under Umbrella Entertainment. But someone is making an effort to slap episode after episode on YouTube.
So where am I going with this? Back to Tony.
While he was challenged to watch whatever episode of Sons and Daughters there was, he also took it upon himself to give a review of each episode in a tweet, accompanied by a screenshot… with most of it out of context on what is known to be quite the serious drama. Here’s a few we got a big giggle at.

The best part of this is that he “liked” every single tweet, so it all appears in one timeline.
You can see them all here: https://twitter.com/mrtonymartin/likes in all the glory that it is. The best usage of Twitter, in our books.
