Orange Is the New Black: Season 2- So far…

111Orange Is the New Black is back and it is better than ever!  If you have not succumbed to season one yet I highly recommend getting on it. I will admit at first I was not sure about the first season but after each episode I left just curious enough to continue to the next, and before I knew it I was hooked; watching each episode at the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next to my new favorite totally messed up ladies. By the end of the season my mind was blown! The last episode of season one, WOW!! I will not give anything away but wow! It ends on a note that leaves you wanting more.

Anytime a second season starts I develop this nerdy anxiety that it will in no way meet my expectations and the anticipation for the second season will have been all for nothing, so it was with a heavy heart that I started watching the second season of OITNB. Right from the beginning I noticed they had changed up the format a bit, not a lot but it was noticeable, and very enjoyable!   I was hooked instantly once again.

All the same characters are back with a vengeance! You immediately start learning the back story of several of the characters you’ve come to adore, and you are instantly blown away. The glimpses of what led these characters to Litchfield  adds a delicious layer of awe and excitement; learning what they are capable of and how they spin their web of deceit keeps you on the edge of your seat. Oh and Guys, this is not just a show for the female audience in addition to the  twisted backstories there are the feisty lesbian sex scenes that result from the girls getting a bit lonely. The writers truly take advantage of the fact that this show streams on Netflix and not a network channel, as they dive into the “box” a little deeper.

I am only a quarter of the way through the season, (I am attempting to pace myself), and already I cannot wait to learn what happens next, layer upon layer of mystery keeps me going back for more. I will report back with an end of the season review, but until then I highly recommend you start/finish season one if you have not already, and get hooked to season two as I have.

Here is the Official OITNB Trailer, check it out!!

Enjoy 😉
