Sizzling away with his popular presence on the Channel 10 TV soap Neighbours, Jason Donovan hit the music charts with his debut single Nothing Can Divide Us in 1988.
Penned by Stock Aitken Waterman – the music gurus behind his at-the-time on/off screen co-star and pop princess girlfriend Kylie Minogue, Nothing Can Divide Us was the first track released from his future 1989 album Ten Good Reasons.
The track reached Number 3 in Australia, with the album reaching as high as Number 5.
While Nothing Can Divide Us was successful, his highest charting song was a duet Especially For You with Minogue, which reached Number 2 in the same year.
