Watch: One Love Manchester concert

by Matt Fulton June 5, 2017
written by Matt Fulton June 5, 2017

The world bands together to raise hopes for Manchester (and London) after tragic terror attacks.

On May 22, 2017, around 22 people were killed and hundreds injured at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester after a suicide bomber exploded audience members leaving the performance.

Nearly 2 weeks later, London came under attack when a car drove into the public on London Bridge, with the culprits attacking strangers randomly with knives, killing 7 people and over 48 injured. But while the U.K. may be under attack by horrid persons, the world came together in support with the One Love Manchester concert, to raise hope and money for victims and families involved in the Manchester attack.

Featuring Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Black Eyed Peas, Pharrell Williams and more – the amazing concert event was broadcasted online via YouTube, Twitter and many forms of social media.

With a crowd attendance of nearly 60,000, the performers donated their time to increase spirits and show power against people who want to do harm to the world.

You can view the entire concert on YouTube, or if you are after selected performances, BBC Music has created a playlist of individual songs.
