The TV personality dubbed “The Lanky Yankee” Don Lane, has died, aged 75.
The American personality who based himself in Australia, hosted numerous shows, mainly The Don Lane Show, in the 70s and 80s. Don bounced himself off TV legends Graham Kennedy and Bert Newton, and was also part of the controversy with called James Randi a ‘2-bit fraud’ and told him to piss off live on TV.
He died of dementia.
Here’s footage of Don Lane on 90’s classic comedy show, The Late Show.
Also, here’s audio of the late Richard Marsland using Warwick Capper sound bites to conduct a raw phone interview with Don Lane, with hilarious results.
