We can never get enough Batman in our lives.From the early days of the comic book to cheesy TV series of the 1960s, the silver screen, animated series and gaming franchises, it’s a universe that even Bruce Wayne rubs his hands with knowing that the dollars will roll in.
While we’ve had many actors play the role of Batman, the most well known portrayal was Adam West, who played Batman for 3 seasons from 1966 to 1968 and the TV movie. While he’s presently in his late 80s, that hasn’t stopped him from putting the cape on again – but this time in animated form.
Alongside his trusty ’60s sidekick Burt Ward, who played Dick Grayson / Robin on the show too, they reunite to fight ’60s Joker, Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman (with Julie Newmar returning). All in animated form, of course.
Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders will be available for digital download October 11, 2016, and Blu-Ray / DVD November 1, 2016.
I wonder if it’ll be as entertaining as The Simpsons envisioned…
