After what was basically a false start in the teaser trailer that pissed off the internets (because, you know, it dictates everything…) when the long-threatened live action remake of Disney’s Aladdin was coming alive starring Will Smith as Genie, how much blue skin were we going to tolerate.
Now, we have the answer. In the first full length trailer launched, it turns out Smith isn’t going to be 100% blue throughout the film.
Starring Smith, Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, the 2019 film based on the 1992 animated smash hit will also feature modern interpretations of the hits A Whole New World and Friend Like Me, which the latter got owned by the original Genie, Robin Williams.
This Guy Ritchie-directed remake looks intriguing, and will no doubt introduce a new audience as parents who grew up on the original will now take their kids to this one.
