New fad – crotch miming
One of the ways that SNL alumni turned late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon has done to promote his show The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is to have catchy segments and make them go viral. One of them is the awesome lip-sync battle game.
Apparently started by The Office and Hello, Ladies star Stephen Merchant on the set of The Office, Merchant appeared as a guest star on a 2013 episode, Fallon brought it forward to the next level on Tonight. Ever since then, each Lip Sync-off (cum Lip Sync-Battle) has been more funnier and entertaining – depending on the guest star and song chosen. Many of them have been a few surprises. Especially when Fallon loses his mind on the side of the screen. There’s two rounds: Player One goes first with their song, then Player Two goes next. Then Player One goes again with their second song. Then Player Two again. The audience cheers the loudest to whomever wins – which the prize is laughter and uber-coolness.
