Wolverine star Hugh Jackman took his film to the streets of South West Sydney today (Friday 3/8/12) to film the next installment of X-Men Origins: Wolverine called The Wolverine.
Filmed mostly on the Fox Studios lot in Sydney, one of the set scenes has transformed the ‘on the verge country town’ of Picton, New South Wales into a winter country town. One of the main streets of Picton – Menangle Street, was closed off and given the Hollywood makeover of fake snow, which is odd to view as it does not snow in the area.
Local residents of Picton, Campbelltown and the Macarthur / Wollondilly area have flocked where possible to get a small glimpse of this up-and-coming blockbuster hit franchise, which has raked in lots and lots of coin at the box office.
