The One With The FRIENDS Mashup

How you doin'?

How you doin’?

Blending an opening title of a well known series with another show that is the polar opposite to what it represents is a creative way of expressing the differences, and putting a light-hearted spin on something that represents a bit of darkness. Or the fact that it’s a cool thing to do at the time. Just like wearing an onion on your belt.

You can bless creative cool cats of the internets to mashup a few popular shows with the opening titles of the closet favourite Friends. With 10 years of the same theme song and title, you can’t go wrong with finding the right tone.

Wentworth

An Australian drama that’s a reboot / revisioning / re-whatever of the cult classic 70s drama Prisoner (or Prisoner: Cell Block H for the overseas people).

Hannibal

Who wants to be friends with the TV version of Hannib Lecter? He’ll supply you with a great meal.

The Avengers

Iron Man, Capt America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye – try and contain them in 2 apartments.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Imagine Pink and Yellow Ranger living together, and opposite, Black and Blue Ranger watching a channel of free porn. Red Ranger floats around while Green / White Ranger drops by to try and tie up things with Pink Ranger, while Bulk & Skull try and operate Central Perk like clockwork. Hmmmm…

Harry Potter

Imagine what stories Hogwarts walls could tell… Oh, my.. god!
