Regurgitator

For the ill-advised, you may know them from their commercial hit songs Black Bugs, ! (The Song Formerly Known As), and Polyester Girl. Those tracks were from their ARIA nominated album Unit, which made them go from Triple J status to commercial status. You also may have seen them do the 3 month ‘Band In A Bubble‘ experiment, which saw the trio, Producer Magoo, and Channel V’s Jabba locked up in a glass room in the middle of Melbourne’s Federation Square in 2004.

If you want to go back even further, regular appearances on Recovery and The 10:30 Slot, their many EPs such as Hamburger, New, Tu Plang, and many more. Fast forward to 2009, this band also performed with choreographer Gavin Webber and gave their musical desserts a whole new level of deliciousness in The Rock Show. I could go on and on, but all you need to know is in that link.

As reported before when talking about Laneous & The Family Yah, the unstoppable Quan, Ben and Pete from Regurgitator are touring again, to promote their brand spanking new album out later 2010. After moving to Melbourne this year to record the next album after 2007’s Love & Paranoia, it has been mentioned that this may be their last album. They will possibly produce more songs, but no full complete album (maybe EPs?)

There are 2 tours – one in September starting on the 15th, and a smaller tour in November. So go earn your crust and get your tickets now, as they’re selling out fast.

To sweeten the deal, here’s 4 new tracks that they have released online – for free! It’s a win-win situation for all.

Making No Sense: personal favourite.
