MIB: Men In Blues – The short film

by Matt Fulton January 24, 2019
written by Matt Fulton January 24, 2019

Filed under “God Bless The Interwebs” – this is AMAZING.

Mashups are a creative way of blending someone else’s poetry with somebody else’s … limerick… and giving it a whole new lease in life. You cannot turn the corner of the interwebs and not find a blend of two things together and not be entertained.

For us, I have not been more entertained with a movie mashup since the Hell’s Club series.

French filmmaker and mashup artist Fabrice Mathieu has achieved a new level of movie mashups – blending the world of Blues together with alien lifeform. Making notes on his Facebook page for months, he catalogues his time and efforts of combining the lives of Jake (John Belushi) and Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) Blues of The Blues Brothers into the reality of the Agent J (Will Smith) and Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) black suit Men In Black series. Within this world, the Predator, creatures from Mars Attacks, Critters, E.T. and many other sci-fi worlds carry on their daily business – while the Blues Brothers continue their mission from god.

Try and spot as many references as possible before the credits roll.

Check out Mathieu’s other mashups on his YouTube channel here.
