“Eh Eh Eh… check it out Butt-Head!! We’re coming back!”
“Huh huh… you said co—“
Since their last rehash into the world in 2011, everyone’s favourite dumbarse duo Beavis And Butt-Head are coming back again for a new movie exclusively for the Paramount+ streaming service Beavis And Butt-Head Do The Universe, out June 23, 2022.
At the same time, the entire MTV original series from the ’90s Beavis And Butt-Head is getting a remastering, with original songs intact. So now we can re-live the snarky remarks from the dinguses that wedged inbetween the actual story arc of the episode in full HD quality.
Here’s a few interactions we’d love to re-visit.
Milli Vanilli.
It’s the golden moment within the first 10 seconds where Beavis and Butt-Head react to how we are all thinking – not giving a hoot about Milli, nor Vanilli.
The Art Of Noise.
The bizarro clip of the audio sampling band, and the the reaction to “what the hell is going on”.
INXS.
Respect to the Australian band, giving them the vocal guitar riff treatment a la Black Sabbath. Which brings us to…
Black Sabbath.
The signature vocal guitar riff that started it all. Thanks to Beavis and Butt-Head, it’s the only part of the song you all quote.
Cypress Hill.
Beavis and Butt-Head nearly break the fourth wall when they try and mimick the video clip with their hand pressing up against the screen. Don’t do it to your flatscreen – it’ll fall off the wall.
Madness / Jordy.
We’re mainly here for the Jordy bit, but after Madness go on a rant at the start of One Step Beyond, Beavis and Butt-head lose interest and watch a french kid sing up the charts, whinging about being a baby.
Red Hot Chili Peppers.
We cannot go past the song from their 1996 movie Beavis And Butt-Head Do America, with a really wicked cover originally by the Ohio Players.
