Let’s begin in saying that I’m not huge fan of the Mission Impossible movies though I did think M:I 2 was brillantly done, made it more ingaging that it was shot in Sydney, Australia. Now Ghost Protocol comes along to make up for M:I 3, not saying it wasen’t a complete flot but with expectations of the first two I did think it was going to be better than it was and mainly that Phillip Seymour Hoffmans character Davian didn’t have a better going out scene then getting his head taking off by a car.
M:I 4 rectifies it in a big way, it doesn’t go over board with the stunts, Tom’s better than expected and the story is gripping. The story takes you from one side of the world to the other from Russia to Dubai and saying Dubai means nothing else than being shot at the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. If you get nauseous at films where they take from very high heights and shot the camera down to show the audience just how high they are then theres 2 or 3 scenes where you might want to look away. But with saying that those scenes are incredible and makes the stunt work that Tom does in those scenes even more gripping and compelling. Let’s not leave out the supporting stars in the film, aprising his role as Benji Dunn is Simon Pegg who of coarse brings the comedy to the movie as he does. Jeremy Renner joins the cast as Senior Analyst William Brandt who shows as yet again that he can hold his own against the the big stars and with that shows that he can do action films even if that means stealing Ethan Hunts signature stunt in the film. With every film there must be a leading lady and in this film it’s the gorgeous Paula Patton who shows us how to look hot and still kick ass doing it.
As the villians we’ve got Michael Nyqvist who you may have recently seen playing along side Taylor Lautner in Abduction. Over all it’s a defient see and a good saturday night out at the movies pick and with that tell’s us why we love our spy action movies.
