Just like sneaky Assassins, they’ve walked out the door already.
Shoe juggernaut Adidas in conjunction with Disney-owned The Simpsons have been gradually releasing limited edition / collectors edition shoes for your cosy feet, for all the suckers – like myself – who want to buy.
Unfortunately for most of us, collectors shoes is a huuuuuge $$$ industry, so trying to get a pair of these are very hard to get, unless you’re willing to fork out for cash like you’re about to refinance your home for the 11th time.
Since May 11, Adidas have been releasing specially themed designs, such as Duff Beer, Kwik-E-Mart / Squishee, Krusty Burger, El Barto, and Flaming Moe’s. But blink – and they’re gone.
The next themed shoe comes out October 3, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Ned Flanders based episode “When Flanders Failed”, where Simpsons’ neighbour Ned Flanders opens his left-handed themed store ‘The Leftorium’, only for it to flop – until Homer intervenes.
The beauty of this shoe is that it suits the tone and mood of good ol’ Flanders.
If you miss out on getting any shoes, you can at least buy other Simpsons themed merchandise, like a t-shirt, just to remind you that the shoes doesn’t necessarily match everything else.
