Watch out Zombies: Axe Cop has arrived!

AxeCopPointDo you want to know what happens when two brothers get together and write a webcomic? What about when one of the brothers is 29 years, and the other is 5 years (at the time of the first webcomic…people age..)?  Mind Blown, right?

Well, that is exactly what has happened with FOX’s new animated short Axe Cop.  In late 2009 while visiting his family on Christmas, comic writer/artist, Ethan Nicolle-29 was able to take advantage of his time home by getting to know his youngest brother Malachai-5 a bit better. He decided to take Malachai up on his request to join him in playing a cleaver little imaginary game he called, Axe Cop. After only a short amount of time Ethan was inspired and the webcomic was born.  Malachai has since maintained the role as the ideas man and Ethan puts it in ink, I think together they make a pretty good team!

Axe Cop was introduced to me a few weeks ago on FOX, and I have since watched two of the episodes. I have to say so far so good. I enjoy watching zombie anything, and am a big fan of Nick Offerman (AKA Ron Swanson- Parks and Recreation) the voice of Axe Cop, so it seemed like a good fit.  The episodes were solid mindless entertainment (it is not a bad thing), I had a giggle! Although, learning it is created from the mind of an 8-year-old will help a bit more on the next one.

Overall it’s a fun little show to watch at 11pm on a night in, before SNL! Check the official trailer!

To watch FULL episodes, check out the comic book, or learn more about the brothers visit the official Axe Cop website.
