Spiderbait helps you sleep and other stuff

There’s so much stress, anxiety triggers and horrible news in the world that it can be very overwhelming for our day-to-day lives to try and chill and relax, especially when there’s constant lockdowns and isolating events which you have no control over.

Bring in the gentle geniuses of one of our favourite Australian bands Spiderbait, who are known to rock out hard over 25 years of our lives, to help soothe our souls.

While their well-known tunes such as their 2004 hit cover Black Betty and the ’90s Hollywood hit Calypso are designed to give you an adrenaline shot, the trio that is Kram, Janet and Whitt do have a chilled side.

A series of compilation EPs released on Spotify and Tidal appear to be inspired by pandemic lockdowns, with various themes to cover their wide variety of tunes. Depending on your mood, you could listen to something of the chilled variety…

or maybe you need to be up and active in the lounge room…

Need a distraction from your 15 minute vaccination waiting period?

Or something to cleanse your soul.

Maybe you just want to hit that accelerator hard.

Check out the EPs on the streaming services now, and do yourself a favour – check out their B side collection. You won’t regret it.
