The other month, one of the best jam sessions happened for the community, consisting of well-known Aussie Alternative bands.
The 2016 Reclink Community Cup Melbourne event was held on Sunday June 26 at Elsternwick Park in Melbourne, a charity football (AFL) event that has been rocking since 1993 as a voluntarily basis to raise money for those in need.
This year, Regurgitator held the headline act,  along with Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool), Total Giovanni, Loose Tooth, The Sugarcanes, Tim Rogers (You Am I) Kram (Spiderbait), Rhys Muldoon, Dan Sultan and Waleed Aly (The Project) taking the stage at various parts of the day.
As someone who lives interstate and unable to attend and having to rely on news articles to publish stuff on it, it wasn’t until recently that Melbourne Community TV station Channel 31 covered  The ‘Gurge rockin’ it out, and threw it up on YouTube for everyone to enjoy – especially Aly shredding the shit out of Prince‘s Purple Rain.
The Reclink Community Cup has other performances throughout the year, so check out whereabouts more shows will happen at reclink.org/events/reclink-community-cup.
