Sydney welcomes the wonderful world of Lego.
In 1984s, in the Sydney suburban town of Drummoyne – just behind Balmain – sat a novelty idea of a toy store for the kids and adults.
In the shopping centre of Birkenhead Point, the world famous Lego company opened the ultimate Lego Centre. Filled top to bottom with Lego statues and displays, packs and anything that you could possibly do with Lego.
The highly popular shop-front attracted kids and tourists alike from all parts of Sydney and Australia, but the Lego Centre eventually shut shop in the mid 1990s.
Though the main centre is long gone now, there is the odd education centre floating around, such as the kid-oriented Learning Centre in South Brisbane.
