Look out Generation Yers: your favourite board-game movie gets a re-visioning.
In a brand new Jumanji adventure, which the late great Robin Williams made famous in 1995 and sent childrens imaginations run wild, the board-game comes full circle (and potentially ignoring that space-type film they tried to pass off as some other sequel).
Instead of centralising on a kid being sucked into a board-game after a hissy-fit with his shoe manufacturing father, we see four high school kids being instructed to clean the school storage room, in which they discover something resembling an Atari 2600 and a 16-bit Jumanji game. Naturally, you give it a go to see if it works and potentially sell on eBay… when they get zapped into the world of Hawaii Jumanji – monsters and all.
Oh, and the kids get transformed into their avatars – characters resembling Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle (Not to be confused with The Rock’s other Jungle film) is in cinemas Boxing, 2017.
