An Australian icon downs a favourite Australian past-time.
In what is known in the Australian dictionary as a “bloody legend”, former Prime Minister Bob Hawke proves that no matter how old you are (87), there’s always time for a cold one.
While watching day two of the Sydney Test at the SCG, the ex-PM who ran the country from 1983 to 1991 sat beside Australian Journalist Charles Wooley and skulled a glass full of amber fluid, while the crowd cheered him on.
Shown on Channel 9’s Wide World Of Sports.
“And he’s still got the capability of a 🍻 skull.” – Slats.

Hawke is historically known for his swilling of beer, having the Guinness World Record for downing a yard of ale in eleven seconds while attending Oxford University in the U.K. in 1963.

In 2012, he knocked one back while passing through the crowd too at the SCG.
In 2014, he poured down another one in front of a group of Richie Benaud impersonators.
I wonder what type of beer it was?
