Enjoy a flashback of the Australian music industry’s night of nights.
It’s that part of the year where the Australian Recording Industry Association have their annual ARIA Music Awards – promoting the best of Australian music of the year.
Now into the 31st year, every nomination and winner is usually scrutinised by music industry big-wigs, as well as the general public with their wallets. Many have achieved success and forged long and standing careers with their wins (eg. Powderfinger, silverchair, Kylie Minogue), while others have faded into obscurity (eg. Selwyn, Frente!)
During each show, various talents perform their wares on stage, usually to tremendous applause. While there is so many passionate and praise-worthy performances to choose from, we’d thought we would highlight this spectacular medley of pop, hip-hop and rock blended together from the 7th ARIAs in 1993.
Hitting the peak of their careers, step back in time to see Peter Andre dance off to Gimme A Little Sign, Sound Unlimited Posse sampling their way through hip-hop with Unity, and Def FX rocking out No Time For Nowhere.
Warning: Contains Richard Wilkins and his long blonde locks.
The 31st Annual ARIA Awards, 7:30pm Tuesday 28th November, 2017 on Channel 9.
