The Scooter Archives: Pete ‘Scoot’ Carter digs back into his vault to find his chat with Status Quo frontman, the late Rick Parfitt, from 2011.

Originating in the 1960s, U.K. band Status Quo were a global sensation with songs Rockin’ All Over The World, Pictures Of Matchstick Men, Whatever You Want and  Down Down, which ended up being a token track used in Australian supermarket giant Coles infamous advertising campaigns.

Rick Parfitt passed away on Christmas Eve, 2016 – at the age of 68, leaving the rock industry in shock and mourn.

In this interview from 2011, Rick Parfitt discusses getting his OBE, groupies, his collection of watches and cars, playing with The Beatles, Tina Turner, and his coloured career.
